QuantiFERON-TB Gold (QFT) is a blood test that screens for Tuberculosis
1.Anyone being screened for TB as part of a pre-employment requirement
2.If you have been exposed to someone with active TB.
3.If you have been previously vaccinated against TB (BCG) and as a result cannot get a TB skin test
and need to be screened for TB.
4. If you have certain medical conditions that put you at risk of reactivation of latent TB
such as HIV or certain types of cancer.
